The Arizona Cardinals released guard Evan Brown on Thursday, freeing $4.9 million in cap space.
Brown signed a one-year deal in 2024 and started every game, earning himself a new two-year contract heading into last season.
The 29-year-old appeared in 11 games before sitting out the rest of the year after Week 13 for personal reasons. A post on Instagram on Jan. 9 revealed that Brown had spent the time away caring for his newborn son, who, after being born in December, required heart surgery because of a congenital heart defect.
