Actor Josh Gad is asking for fan support after he posted an explanation for his absence at a scheduled event that was meant to take place at Disneyland Paris. The Frozen voice actor revealed his mother, Susan, had a medical emergency that required his immediate attention.
On Instagram, Gad explained he had just arrived at Disneyland Paris to visit the theme park's new Frozen-themed section that was scheduled for this week. Instead, Gad revealed he would be returning home immediately to be by his mother's side.
"So truly heartbroken that I arrived today to take a tour and celebrate the new New World of Frozen at @disneylandparis this week and instead have to leave tomorrow morning (before I even have a chance to see any of it) to be with my mother who is unfortunately dealing with a serious medical emergency," he wrote.
"Thank you to the entire staff of my beautiful hotel, and all of the people who organized this incredible event that will sadly have to wait for another day."
Gad went on to praise the new installation based on the beloved Disney animated movie and how the theme park will have one of the "most incredible and immersive experiences." He went on to urge fans to book their tickets to see it for themselves, and said "Good luck @natacharafalski and the entire team here in Paris. I look forward to coming back and seeing this magic with the masses!"
The Spaceballs 2 star ended his post by saying, "In the meantime, please keep my mom in your prayers. She needs all the good energy she can get."
