Kate Hudson has the possibility to win an Oscar at the upcoming 98th Academy Awards, and her brother Oliver Hudson is definitely rooting for her.
Kate, who is nominated in the Best Actress category this year, would not only be earning her first-ever Oscar if she were to win, but she would also be making history alongside her famous mom, Goldie Hawn.

Hawn, 80, already has an Oscar under her belt, after taking home the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 1970 for her performance in Cactus Flower.
While recently speaking with reporters for ABC's "On the Red Carpet," Oliver said he's pulling for Kate to come out on top, as it would make his mom and sister the first mother-daughter duo to each win an Oscar.
"That would be amazing," he said of the possibility that Kate wins the Oscar on Sunday, March 15. She's nominated in the Best Actress category for her performance as Claire Sardina in the hit musical film, Song Sung Blue.

It's not Kate's first time being up for an Oscar, as she previously had the chance to make history in 2001 when she was nominated for her supporting role as Penny Lane in the hit 2000 film, Almost Famous. (The award that year ultimately went to Marcia Gay Harden for Pollock.)
At this year's ceremony, Kate is up against Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value) and Emma Stone(Bugonia).
The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O'Brien, will air live on Sunday, March 15 on ABC and Hulu starting at 7 p.m. ET.
