Princess Cruises is getting ready to set sail on an epic journey that will take passengers to some of the world’s most beloved destinations while still allowing travelers to tailor their journey to their own unique schedules.
Guests will depart from either Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, or Los Angeles, California, aboard the Coral Princess on the globe-spanning sailing that begins January 3, 2028, visiting 49 destinations in 24 countries across 5 continents. They’ll be able to visit up to 39 UNESCO World Heritage sites, starting by crossing the Panama Canal, then visiting Hawaii and the South Pacific, including Samoa and Fiji, before continuing to Australia and New Zealand.

Next, the ship will cross the Indian Ocean to visit Mauritius and Réunion Island, then make its way to South Africa for an overnight stay in Cape Town. Coral Princess will sail up Africa’s western coast towards the Mediterranean, where passengers will be able to visit Barcelona, Sicily, Dubrovnik, and Casablanca. The ship will then cross the Atlantic back to North America.
Curated shore excursions will include visits to Mediterranean villages and a national park in New Zealand, and, for the first time, Princess Cruises will offer an immersive safari adventure at one of Africa’s top five celebrated game reserves, including Aquila Game Reserve and the iconic White Lions at Pumba Private Game Reserve.

While the journey will take a whopping 115 days to complete, travelers don’t need to commit to the whole trip to participate. Through Princess Cruises’ flexible world cruise segments, passengers will be able to join the ship for as little as 20 days, getting to experience portions of the itinerary without signing up for the whole thing.
“Our 2028 World Cruise is an unparalleled voyage designed for travelers to see the world in a meaningful, immersive way — with more overnight stays, more time in port, deeper cultural connections and unforgettable moments at every turn,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer, in a statement shared with Parade. “Guests will embark on an exceptional and deeply rewarding journey with extraordinary exploration, effortlessly wrapped in Princess’ signature warmth.”
