BATAVIA, N.Y. — A 45-year-old man has been arrested after being accused of breaking into a home and killing a “companion animal.”
Genesee County sheriff’s deputies say Enrique Pellot broke into a home in Batavia, caused over $1,500 in damages, and “caused serious physical injury or death of a companion animal.”
Deputies say the animal was found dead. Pellot was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary, criminal mischief, aggravated cruelty to animals, and menacing.
Pellot was arraigned in Genesee County CAP Court and was held on no bail. He is scheduled to appear in Batavia Town Court later this month.
