Dionne Warwick has announced her final album to close out her 65-year career.
According to Billboard, the six-time Grammy winner will release the first single off her upcoming album DWuets on Friday, Mar. 20.
The lead single off the record is titled "Ocean in the Desert" and is a collaboration between Warwick and Wicked actress Cynthia Erivo. Billboard also reports that Grammy winner Kehlani will be featured on the album’s second single.
“It was such a joy to be in the studio harmonizing with such a talented entertainer as Cynthia," Warwick said of working with Erivo in a press announcement. "We immediately bonded and had so much fun recording this beautiful song.”
“It was so warm being in the studio with Dionne; it was like a mother-daughter relationship,” Erivo added. “This experience was like the godmother of music coming in and saying to me ‘I knight you.’”

Warwick and Erivo first met when the latter performed “Alfie” while honoring Warwick at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2023.
The 1966 hit is one of three of Warwick’s iconic songs inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, along with “Walk On By” and “Don’t Make Me Over.” Warwick has also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
For DWuets, Warwick collaborated with Grammy-winning songwriter and 14-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren, with the album’s title drawn from their initials.
Warren wrote all the songs on DWuets, while Warwick’s son and manager Damon Elliott produced all of the album’s duets.
“The experience of watching all of these young legends working with a real living legend was a thrill to watch,” said Elliott in the press announcement. “Mom picked the lock for them, and they paid respect to one of the greatest artists ever.”
More details about the record's duet partners, as well as the album’s release date, will be announced at a later date, per Billboard.
