Soon-to-be former Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore wrote a message to the team’s fans after his reported trade to the Buffalo Bills.
The trade won’t technically be completed until the start of the NFL league year on March 11, but Moore still took the time to reach out to the Bears fans who supported him over his three years in Chicago.
Moore was acquired in the 2023 trade that sent the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers. In exchange, the Bears got Moore, the Panthers’ 2024 first-round pick (which they used to draft quarterback Caleb Williams) and an additional selection.
Needless to say, Moore endeared himself to Bears fans during his time in Chicago, and his message reflects that. He even included a winking homage to his most famous quote he made during his time in Chicago.
“I wanna say appreciate all the love and support the last three years. My family and I were proud to call this place home and this community has been unbelievable to us. We will miss you all.
“To the fans, you all embraced me with open arms from my first day here. I gave my all every time I stepped on the field and hopefully I made you all proud with the way I performed. We have some unbelievable memories at Soldier Field and you all are a huge part of them!!
“To my Bears teammates, coaches and staff, I enjoyed going to work with you every day. I’ll miss seeing you all at Halas Hall. You all made me grateful every day to be a Chicago Bear!! I Appreciate you all.
“& It’s Always F……”
The last bit of the comment references his famous “F-the Packers” comment he made after his incredible Week 16 performance against the team, capped off by a game-winning catch in overtime.
Moore appeared in all 51 regular season games the Bears played over the last three seasons, with 244 catches for 3,012 yards and 20 touchdowns during his tenure with the team.
He also appeared in the playoffs for the first time in his NFL career this season, with 11 catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns in those games.
One of those touchdowns was a critical one against the Green Bay Packers, helping the Bears to win a playoff game over their bitter rival for the first time in a postseason game since the 1940s.
