A disturbance at a CTA Red Line station led to two men being shot early Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.
The physical altercation involving multiple individuals occurred at the 79th Street CTA station at approximately 12:54 a.m., police said.
During that altercation gunfire rang out, with a 21-year-old man shot in the chest and a 23-year-old man shot in the buttocks.
According to police, both men were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
Three men were taken into custody by Chicago police, and two firearms were recovered. Charges are pending in the case, according to authorities.
