EAST BLOOMFIELD, N.Y. — On Saturday around 1:30 p.m., the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to Gauss Road due to a crash, finding an 88-year-old driver dead.
The report says James Weisbeck traveled alone, heading west on Gauss Road, when his car drifted off the road and into a field.
The car continued west through the field until it hit a tree at 7020 Gauss Road, according to the report.
Weisbeck was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation is ongoing to find out what killed Weisbeck.
