A former UNC Bears men’s basketball player, two dominant football teams from the 1970s and a multisport athlete are among the electees to the Northern Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame for 2026.
Jonah Radebaugh played basketball at UNC from 2016-20 and completed his career as the 11th scorer all-time with 1,337 points and second in rebounds. He’ll be joined in the hall of fame by the undefeated conference-champion 1974 and 1975 football teams; football and track and field athlete Alex Wesley, an all-Big Sky Conference selection and champion; former professional women’s golfer Carleigh Silvers Steele; track and field athlete and coach Jeffery Huntoon; and women’s track and field and cross country athlete Monique Guidry.The electees will be inducted into the hall of fame during a banquet. The time, date, location and ticket information will be announced at a later date, according to a news release from the UNC Athletic Department.
Radebaugh also finished his career tied for third in assists, fourth in steals and sixth in 3-pointers. He set the single-season school record with 202 assists in 2019-20, which was broken this year by graduate student guard Quinn Denker.
The 1974 and 1975 football teams under head coach Bob Blasi had a 16-2 overall record, including two straight Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships with a 10-0 record. The team featured quarterback Gerry Dattilio, running back Chuck Taibi, wide receiver Mike Mitchell, tight end Dwight Bryan and Gary Weibert, Gary Widhelm, Greg Witwer and Steve Mason on defense.

He ranked eighth nationally in FCS in receiving yards per game in 2018. He was a two-time All-Big Sky Conference selection in football, and a three-time conference champion in the 400 meters in track. Wesley qualified for the NCAA championships in track and was a second-team All American.
Silvers Steele was played golf from 2009-13 and was a three-time All-Big Sky Conference selection. She won the Big Sky individual title in 2012, helping the Bears to its only team title. Silvers Steele qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open in 2014, and she competed on the Symetra Tour from 2014-18.
Huntoon was a member of the track and field teams from 1985-88, when he was a three-time NCAA Division II championship qualifier and two-time conference champion. Huntoon once held the UNC record in the 110-meter high hurdles. He went on to a Division I coaching career at West Virginia University and Indiana University and worked on four Olympic and seven World Championship coaching staffs.
Guidry ran from 1983-87 and remains one of UNC’s all-time leaders in the 3,000 and 10,000-meter distances. She qualified for NCAAs in 1985 and later coached for 20 years at Boulder High School.
