2026 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Boys 3A State Swimming and Diving Championships
Feb. 20-21, 2026 Federal Way, WA SCY (25 yards) ResultsAfter going nine years between titles before winning last year’s state meet, the Bellevue boys’ team only had to wait one year for its next crown.
Bellevue successfully defended its title at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Boys 3A State Swimming and Diving Championships, finishing 92.5 points ahead of runner-up Lakeside.
Bellevue was led by senior Christian Wong, a Carnegie Mellon commit, who won the 100 breast and was a part of two winning relay teams.
In the 100 breast, Wong clocked a personal best time of 54.88 after finishing 2nd in the event last year.
He also had a 24.64 breast split to help Bellevue win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:33.27. Other team members were Tommy Xu (24.50), Alex Kang (22.27) and Aidan Kim (21.86).
In the 200 free relay, Wong produced a 21.31 split on the third leg to help Bellevue win in a time of 1:26.57. The other team members were Daniel Choi (21.57), Robin Wang (22.08) and Bryce Chen (21.61).
The individual standouts were Lakeside sophomore Charlie Cancelmo, Lakeside senior Alex Menshutkin and Mercer Island sophomore Luke Dunn, who each won two events. Cancelmo and Menshutkin were also a part of a winning relay team.
Cancelmo won the 200 free in a personal best of 1:36.47, moving him to 9th this season in the boys’ 15-16 year-old age group. Cancelmo later won the 100 fly in 47.21.
Committed to Dartmouth, Menshutkin won the 50 free in 20.32, and then captured the 100 free in a personal best time of 44.64.
In the 400 freer relay, the team of Cancelmo (44.93), Menshutkin (44.34), Brett Wang (46.14), and Daniel Lee (46.88) won in a time of 3:02.29.
Dunn won the 200 IM in 1:51.03, improving on a 3rd-place finish from last year. He later captured the 500 free in 4:28.89.
Mercer Island’s Connor Carson won the 1-meter diving event with 417.55 points, while Inglemoor junior Robert Shen was the champion in the 100 back, clocking a personal best time of 49.96.
