ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It’s the countdown until the return of baseball. The Rochester Red Wings will hold its ninth annual “Baseball’s Back Bash” on Friday, March 20, ahead of the team’s home opener.
The free celebration will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at ESL Ballpark, formerly Innovative Field. This will be the Red Wings’ first season playing with ESL Federal Credit Union as the stadium’s name sponsor.
The “Baseball’s Back Bash” will include free Zweigle’s hot dogs, $2 draft beers, and $1 soda. It will also feature live music from classic rock cover band Genesee Saw, tailgate-style games, and bounce house inflatables.
Mascots Spikes and Mittsy will be available for photos and autographs throughout the evening. In addition, the Red Wings Team Store will be open for fans to get their first look at new 2026 merchandise. The ticket office will also open for the season on March 20. Season ticket holders can pick up their passes and single-game tickets will be available to buy in-person.
About the home opener
The Red Wings’ 2026 home opener is set for Tuesday, March 31, against the Scranton-Wilkes/Barre RailRiders. The first pitch is set for 4:05 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for all 75 home games online here.
This will mark the Red Wings’ 136th season as a member of the International League. Once again, General Manager Dan Mason has announced his annual 50-degree guarantee. If the temperature doesn’t reach at least 50 degrees on opening day, fans can redeem their ticket for any other home game in April or May during the 2026 season.
