JetBlue Vacations Enters Partnership to Offer Travelers 'Great Weather Guarantee'

Worried about storm clouds literally raining on your parade? According to a Mar. 3, 2026 press release, you won't need to fret when traveling with JetBlue Vacations. That's because the company is partnering with the Jamaica Tourist Board and WeatherPromise to offer travelers a "Great Weather Guarantee" that will give visitors $500 back if it rains more than they were promised it would during their stay.

Of course, there are a few caveats to this collaboration. According to the statement it looks like you will only be able to take advantage of this offer if you book an eligible flight and hotel package through the company from Mar. 1 through May 31, 2026. The flights offered during these months will indicate what the expected rainfall will be during your stay, and if it exceeds that, your account will be credited $500.

How Much Does it Rain in Jamaica

If you're anything like me, your first question was likely "how much rain does Jamaica get?" According to Encyclopedia Britannica, Jamaica sees about 82 inches of rain per year. That rain falls seasonally, with most of it happening in October and May. However, June through September are known for their pop up thunderstorms. While those storms sound like they are typically short, these may be the days when you're most likely to see those rainy day payouts happen, since they will be less predictable than the rain that falls during the island's wet season.
