Like it’s not organic I’m sorrryyy be fr it’s rare that cats are immediately lovey without years of pain and work put in.”
“Yall be scratched and beat tf up by your own animals I can’t lmaooo,” she added.

Doechii is far from the only person who’s written off cats as being hostile, a longstanding opinion that’s prompted research into the matter. In 2020, the BBC published an article consulting vet and International Cat Care trustee Karen Hiestand, who said at the time that the idea of dogs being friendlier than cats is a “human misunderstanding of the species.”
“Dogs and humans are very similar and have lived together a long time,” she told the outlet. “In a way it has been co-evolution. With cats, it is way more recent. They come from a solitary ancestor that isn’t a social species.”
But Doechii isn’t backing down any time soon. In the comments of her anti-cat post, she shared a video of Tiffany Pollard laughing at “hating-a–” audience members booing and throwing things at her on Flavor of Love in 2006. “Me vs Cat owners,” the rapper captioned the clip.
Doechii is coming off a successful awards run, picking up three NAACP Award nominations — including Entertainer of the Year, which ultimately went to Michael B. Jordan — and winning a Grammy for best music video for “Anxiety” in February. Of the latter prize, the hitmaker wrote on Threads, “I don’t even know what to say … I wasn’t expecting this one, thank u.”
The star last dropped music in 2025, teaming up with SZA for “Girl, Get Up,” which debuted at No. 57 on the Billboard Hot 100. Beyond dropping “Anxiety” — her biggest hit to date, reaching No. 9 on the songs chart — and “Nosebleeds,” she spent much of last year collaborating with people such as The Weeknd, Alemeda and JENNIE of BLACKPINK.
