A man and woman were injured in a shooting incident near Lake Tuscaloosa on Friday evening. Both received non-life-threatening injuries, and there is no ongoing threat.
Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an address in the 15000 Block of Marina Drive in Northport at around 11:30 p.m. Friday evening after reports of a shooting.
According to Capt. Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, it’s believed that an ongoing disagreement between several individuals led to the shooting.
Police are asking the area’s residents to check any cameras or video they may have between the times of 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. for any suspicious vehicle or persons, and to contact the VCU if they have any information involving the incident.
