Yes, the Chicago Bulls won a game yesterday. No, it doesn’t help the tank, and no, it doesn’t move them any closer to a championship. But yes, it feels good.
In a 2:30 PM CT tip-off, the Bulls did their part to flip their losing luck, beating down on the Milwaukee Bucks. They came in as underdogs, but what they delivered in the second half was so dominant, it started rewriting the story of the game entirely.
Let’s talk Bulls basketball.
© David Banks-Imagn Images Yesterday, the Bulls did something they haven’t done much this year: they won, and they won in commanding fashion. A 27–0 run. Seven straight minutes without allowing a single point. That was the stretch that broke Milwaukee and shifted the momentum fully into Chicago’s hands.THE BULLS WENT ON A 27-0 RUN ? pic.twitter.com/CHiYLlRgo2
— Bulls on CHSN (@CHSN_Bulls) March 1, 2026 But it took a collection of standout performances to get there. Collin Sexton led the way with a game-high 22 points. Matas Buzelis continued his rise with his third straight 20-point game. Josh Giddey controlled the floor with a 20-point triple-double. And Nick Richards’ rim-running presence made him look like Clint Capela, finishing everything around the basket with force. Yet the hidden gem of the night, and maybe the hidden gem of the Bulls’ young core, was Leonard Miller. From being out of the rotation in Minnesota, to becoming a throw-in in the Ayo Dosunmu trade, to now delivering back-to-back strong performances for Chicago, how fast things can change. The 22-year-old second-round pick embraced the opportunity fully, putting up a career-high 15 points on 75% shooting from the field and 50% from three. He filled the stat sheet, too: 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, and a game-high plus/minus of +38. To the surprise of no one, he also played a career-high 27 minutes. And, right now, there’s no reason to think he should lose his spot in the rotation. If anything, he’s making a case for more, maybe even a move into the starting lineup if the opportunity presents itself.Leonard Miller in today's win vs. Milwaukee:15 PTS | 2-4 3FG | 5 REB | 4 AST | +38ALL career-high marks for @LeonardMi11er ? pic.twitter.com/jwCnyZbAnq
— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) March 1, 2026 This all happened in front of Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson, one of the most adored figures in the city. When he popped up on the Jumbotron at the United Center, the place erupted. The reaction was so loud, so full of love, that it felt like the Bears had just won a playoff game. Johnson played right into it. He started to pull at his hoodie like he was about to rip it off in celebration, feeding the crowd’s energy. But then—he faked them and that led to a very funny video.Ben Johnson had us for a second ? @ChicagoBears (via @CHSN_Bulls) pic.twitter.com/Mm5thhYufA
— NFL (@NFL) March 1, 2026 The United Center and the Chicago Bulls were also playing host to content creator Jesser, who was everywhere. From meet-and-greets before tip-off, to sitting in with the broadcast crew, to joining Benny the Bull for his iconic popcorn toss, and even taking part in the halftime festivities, he was fully part of the show. And at halftime, he delivered his moment. On his very first attempt, he knocked down the half-court shot, winning $10,000 for higher education at the Bulls Kids Nation Game. And just like that, another viral video was born inside the United Center.JESSER FROM HALF-COURT ?@Jesser's half-court shot won $10K towards higher education for two Bulls Kid Nation All-Stars! pic.twitter.com/syq1JhO6EA
— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) March 1, 2026 Also in attendance was Scottie Pippen, watching as Josh Giddey etched his name a little deeper into Bulls history. With his performance, Giddey tied Pippen for the second-most triple-doubles in franchise history with 15. Now, he sits just one away from passing him, and over halfway to Michael Jordan who sits at the top spot. Giddey has played for the Bulls for about a season and half. Michael Jordan might not be sweating that Bulls triple-double record too much, he’s a little busy making history of his own in NASCAR.
