LA28 has announced that the Ticket Draw for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles has now received over 5 million registrations, with that number increasing by an average of 100,000 new registrations each day.
Registration opened on January 14, with a record-setting 1.5 million registering within the first 24 hours. This adds to the milestones that the LA28 group has already accomplished, including $2 billion in commercial sponsorship revenue in 2025.
Fans from all 50 states have reportedly registered, including 194 countries across six continents.
Unlike past Olympic Games, where tickets were sold on a first-come, first-served basis, these games use a lottery system, giving millions of people a chance to experience the games.
The ticket draw closes on March 18th, giving fans another 3 weeks to register. Fan register for the draw and will later be emailed with a timeslot between March 31 and April 7 for that drop or presale after the registration period closes. Tickets will then be available for purchase during that slot, with each timeslot active for 48 hours. Prior to purchasing tickets, fans will be required to make an LA28 ID.
After purchasing tickets, fans who do not reach the 12-ticket maximum (either multiple tickets for an individual session or individual tickets for multiple sessions) will be automatically entered into the draw for additional ticket drops.
Los Angeles and Oklahoma City locals will have a chance to purchase tickets early by using their billing postal codes when registering.
“As a historic Winter Games concludes, we celebrate the incredible athletes and achievements of so many. We are grateful for the millions of people who have expressed interest in joining us in LA in 2028 where more of these stories and dreams will come to life,” said LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover in a report from LA28.
According to LA28, the ticket inventory and prices will differ by sport, venue, and session. Paralympic Games tickets will not begin until 2027.
