The second of two community meetings held by the LA Department and Parks, gave North Hollywood residents a chance to their give their input on the design of the proposed off-leash dog park at the North Hollywood Park.
Los Angeles Councilmember Adrin Nazarian, a member on the Council’s Arts, Parks, Libraries and Community Enrichment Committee (Arts & Parks) said, “North Hollywood Park is one of the treasures of the East San Fernando Valley. It provides a gathering place for thousands of neighborhood families to enjoy rest, exercise and recreation in the open air. Although thousands of the park’s neighbors are dog owners, they have had to travel over two miles to the Whitnall Highway Dog Park to let their canine friends run free, play fetch or interact with other dogs.”
Nazarian added, “I’m committed to promoting outdoor activity for the people of the Second District, and an off-leash dog park at the southern tip of North Hollywood Park is the kind of investment that improves the quality of life for the whole neighborhood. … I’m proud to be delivering this improvement to North Hollywood and I look forward to breaking ground.”
