ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Landmark Society of Western New York has announced on Thursday its 2026 Five to Revive, which is a list that finds opportunities for targeted strategic revitalization, aiming to preserve various sites and buildings.

List of locations:

Peirson Cobblestone House. Located in the Village of Newark, Wayne County. Seneca Falls Machine Company Plant. Located in Seneca Falls, Seneca County. Morgan Manning House Museum. Located in the Village of Brockport, Monroe County. It was damaged in a fire over a year ago, spreading to the basement, tearing through floors and walls, causing the roof to partially collapse. Cutler Mail Chute Company Building. Located in Rochester, Monroe County Historic LGBTQ+ Community Sites. Various locations that were historically prevalent to the LGBTQ+ community. For instance, the Avenue Pub on Monroe Avenue in Rochester, which has since closed, is a place of interest.

The staff at the society takes recommendations from the public on which buildings to repair. It will narrow down that list to five properties.
