The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has launched a review into whether RAF bases were used by Jeffrey Epstein.
Defence Secretary John Healey ordered a review of all records the department might hold on flights linked to Epstein that landed at RAF bases, an MoD spokesperson told The i Paper.
The spokesperson said the aim of the review is to “ensure that any information which relates to Epstein’s crimes is uncovered and provided to the relevant authorities”.
“The MoD will support any civilian police investigations,” the spokesperson added. “Our thoughts are with all the victims of Epstein’s vile crimes.”
The announcement comes after former prime minister Gordon Brown demanded a police investigation into whether Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had used RAF bases to meet the disgraced financier.
