WARSAW, N.Y. — Parents and former staff expressed their dissatisfaction with the Warsaw Central School District during a school board meeting on Tuesday. The meeting was the first since the district canceled the JV and varsity basketball seasons due to an ongoing investigation involving team members.

One parent voiced frustration, saying, “Not again. Not again. I told them I was not going to tolerate it. Um, I guess I will come back. Not again.”
Former teacher Laura Debadts also shared her concerns, expressing sadness over the situation. “I just am saddened by what happened. And it’s, I’m saddened by it because it’s not the first time it happened under the leadership of the people on that basketball team,” said Debadts.
Debadts refrained from detailing past issues with district leadership but claimed that recent calls for change have been ignored. “Truth be told, our administration has changed. Our supers are different,” she said.
Others in attendance demanded action, with one person stating, “That child’s life is never going to be the same, and y’all sit there like it’s no big deal, that huge!”
The investigation is ongoing, and the district has not yet provided new details about the situation.
