Sebastian Bach Addresses Skid Row Reunion Drama: ‘Beating My Head Against a Wall’

Sebastian Bach is standing behind his past comments about a potential future Skid Row reunion, but he’s also not waiting around. In a lengthy interview on Elizabeth Zharoff’s The Charismatic Voice podcast, Bach, 57, explained his past comment that “there is really no reason why the original Skid Row cannot reunite.”

“I've been saying that for 35 years,” the singer said on the February 2026 podacst.

When asked if he would want to do another tour with his former Skid Row bandmates, Bach replied, “Well, the short answer is yes, because we're all still alive. And we have millions of fans who would like to see it, and we're entertainers.”“And you know, the more I keep saying yes, yes, yes, but they don't do anything, then I'm like, well, I mean, at some point, it's like beating my head against a wall,” Bach added of his former bandmates Rachel Bolan and Dave “Snake” Sabo.

Bach originally made the remark during a 2024 interview with New Jersey’s 105.5.

"There’s really no reason why the original Skid Row cannot reunite,” he said at the time. “And the reason I say that is because we’re all still alive and we’re all healthy. And I really think the reason that has never happened is just business. You can’t be mad at somebody that you haven’t been in a room with since 1996.”

Bach fronted the classic lineup of Skid Row with Bolan, Sabo, Scotti Hill, and Rob Affuso from 1987 to 1996, and was the voice of their biggest hits, including “Youth Gone Wild,” “18 and Life,” and “I Remember You.”

Skid Row has since been fronted by Johnny Solinger,Tony Harnell, ZP Theart, and Erik Gronwall. In addition, Halestorm leader Lzzy Hale sang with the band for some shows in 2024, per Ultimate Classic Rock

Bach recently told The Metal Voice that while he would agree to a Skid Row reunion, he isn’t waiting around for it. “I got my own band. I got my own albums, and I play tons of shows. I'm extremely busy,” he said in January.

He elaborated on Zharoff’s podcast, adding, “My band is doing really good. Like, we're not looking for work. We are tearing it up."

Bach is also very happy with his solo work. "I would hate to be in a position where I couldn't do the song 'What Do I Got' to lose. It's literally my favorite song of the set. And that's a solo song," he said. "So maybe if I rejoined Skid Row, I would sing one of their songs they did without me, and they could do one of my songs that I did without them. That would be interesting. I would be willing to think about that.”

Skid Row is looking for a new lead singer again

Back previously told the Get on the Bus podcast that the fact that the classic Skid Row bandmates are not together “doesn't make any sense.” “We're five guys that are playing the same set, but we're not together. Well, they don't have a singer right now, but…” he said in 2025.

Skid Row has since launched a search for a new lead singer, and Sabo has been adamant that the band will never reunite with Bach.

“It’s not gonna happen,” the Skid Row guitarist told the Hook Rocks podcast in a 2024 interview. “I’m thankful that people have such an interest in wanting to see that happen, but I also have to reiterate that this is about being happy in the situation that you’re in. … There’s three of us — myself, Scotti, and Rachel — who’ve had conversations about this, and we’ve all been on the same page that we don’t wanna go down that road again. We just — we don’t.”
