Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and authorities still have no identified a suspect or person of interest in the case.
More than a week after the FBI released photos and videos of a subject at Guthrie's front door, sources told reporters Brian Entin, Michael Ruiz, and others that the pictures were taken on two different nights. This suggests that the person at the home without a gun or a backpack could have been scoping things out prior to coming back to the home to carry out whatever he or she had planned.

Shortly after those reports surfaced, the Pima County Sheriff's Department issued a statement, calling the reports "purely speculative."
"We are aware that doorbell images released earlier in the investigation depict a suspect in different stages of attire, including with and without a backpack," the statement began. "There is no date or time stamp associated with these images. Therefore, any suggestion that the photographs were taken on different days is purely speculative.""This remains an active and ongoing criminal investigation. As with any investigation, conclusions will be guided by verifiable evidence and established facts. Speculation, without factual support, does not advance the investigative process," the statement, signed by Sheriff Chris Nanos, concluded.
Authorities believe that Guthrie, 84, may have been abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
