Dillon Brooks broke his left hand during the Phoenix Suns’ 113-110 double-overtime win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Charania added that doctors will meet to determine a timetable of how long Brooks will be out due to the injury.
Brooks played seven minutes, scoring five points on two of seven shooting and grabbing three rebounds before checking out with 4:46 remaining in the first quarter.
He was seen shaking his hand before being looked at by trainers and heading to the locker room. He was later ruled out.
Entering Saturday’s game, Brooks has been averaging 21.2 points (44.1% shooting), 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
Brooks’ injury occurred in his first contest since serving a one-game suspension for technical fouls.
In the same game, guard Jordan Goodwin left the game late in the fourth quarter after appearing to tweak his left leg. After fouling to stop a play, Goodwin subbed out and headed straight to the locker room and did not return.
Head coach Jordan Ott told reporters it was a calf injury and he will get an MRI on Sunday.
The Suns were already without Devin Booker (right hip strain) and Haywood Highsmith (right knee rehab). Prior to Saturday’s game, the Suns announced Booker would be reevaluated in one week due to the injury.
