In a heartbreaking post shared to Instagram on Saturday, Barbie (2023) and Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025) star Ariana Greenblatt honored Eric Dane following his tragic death at the age of 53 from ALS.
The video shows a young Ariana sitting on Dane's lap in a recording studio as he works on a song, with who seems to be Ariana's father — the actor and producer Shon Greenblatt — behind the camera. Them & I's "I'm Not Them" (2025) plays in the background.
"i love you eric, i will miss you deeply," Ariana wrote in her emotional post. "the first set i ever stepped foot on was yours, watching you do your thing lit a spark in me. we always had the same humor but you were much funnier and quicker, i couldn’t keep up. i hope i continue to make you proud and laugh."

Fans and friends of Ariana offered their sympathies and condolences to her and her family following the loss of Dane, who was a close family friend of the Greenblatts.
