Dillon Brooks ruled out vs. Magic due to left hand injury

Phoenix Suns guard Dillon Brooks left Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic in the first half and was ruled out with a left hand injury.

Brooks played seven minutes, scoring five points on 2 of 7 shooting and grabbing three rebounds before checking out with 4:46 remaining in the first quarter.

    He was seen shaking his hand before being looked at by trainers and heading to the locker room.

    Entering Saturday’s game, Brooks has been averaging 21.2 points (44.1% shooting), 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

    Brooks’ injury comes in his first contest since serving a one-game suspension for technical fouls.

    The Suns were already without Devin Booker (right hip strain) and Haywood Highsmith (right knee rehab). Prior to Saturday’s game, the Suns announced Booker would be reevaluated in one week due to the injury.
