The Buffs (15-12, 5-9 Big 12) used a 20-2 run in the first half to take a 17-point lead, but Oklahoma State trimmed the margin to 42-34 at halftime.
The Cowboys opened the second half with a 14-5 run to take a one-point lead, and the game was tied 53-53 when the Buffs recaptured the lead for good with eight consecutive points.
Bangot Dak went 5-for-8 from the field and 6-for-7 at the free throw line while leading the Buffs with 17 points. Point guard Barrington Hargress turned in a strong all-around game, recording 16 points, eight assists and four rebounds.
CU shook off a recent 3-point slump by going 11-for-27 from the arc.
