’70s Rock Band Announces Update Before 2026 Tour

The lineup for the Hollywood Bowl's 2026 season was released earlier this week, and fans of '70s American rock music will be excited to see that ZZ Top is one of the scheduled performers listed on the calendar.

The band is scheduled to take the stage at the iconic Los Angeles concert venue on Aug. 5 with special guest Cheap Trick.

Tickets are currently only available to recurring Hollywood Bowl season pass holders, however individual concert tickets will go up for sale starting in May, according to the Hollywood Bowl website. Those who purchase any 2026 season subscription package will be eligible to access tickets during an early pre-sale, as well as a 20% discount on select shows.

ZZ Top joins a lineup of iconic names in music, including The Beach Boys, Foo Fighters, Samara Joy, Patti LaBelle and more. The news of this performance also comes ahead of ZZ Top's upcoming The Big One tour across Europe and the U.S. The tour kicks off on March 21 in Abilene, Texas, and will end on July 25 in Cadiz, Spain. Tickets for the tour are already available on ZZ Top's website.

ZZ Top is an American rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas, known for their gritty blues-rock sound and unmistakable image — especially the long beards of guitarist Billy Gibbons and bassist Dusty Hill. ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and remains one of the most enduring acts in American rock history. Their current lineup has maintained relatively consistent over the decades, and currently consists of Gibbons, founding member and drummer Frank Beard and bassist Elwood Francis, who had been the band's longtime guitar tech before replacing Hill after he passed away in 2021.
