MACEDON, N.Y. — A Rochester man faced charges following a years-long investigation into a Walmart heist in Wayne County.
Macedon police said in 2023, Anthony Capers impersonated an employee at the Macedon Walmart.
Police said he accessed the store’s master keys and used them to steal more than 60 iPhones valued at over $51,000.
Elmira police arrested Capers on Saturday.
Capers was charged with grand larceny and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned and released.
