March Madness is now mere weeks away, and it’s a perfect opportunity for doomed teams like the Chicago Bulls to appraise some of the top prospects for what’s supposed to be a loaded 2026 NBA Draft.
Here’s the latest look at some of the top movers in recent mock draft assessments.
2026 NBA Draft Prospects — Stock Up
Labaron Philon (PG, Alabama)
© Gary Cosby Jr.-Tuscaloosa NewsPhilon, a big combo guard, has been enjoying a breakout sophomore season in 2025-26. Through 24 bouts with Alabama, he’s averaging 21.3 points while slashing .507/.396/.777, 4.9 dimes, 3.5 boards, and 1.3 swipes per game.
He’s expected to be a mid-to-late lottery selection, meaning he’ll be right within the Bulls’ striking range. But would Chicago really want to add another ball-dominant guard next to incumbent starting point guard Josh Giddey, who’s still just 23 and has room to grow? That remains to be seen.
Brayden Burries (G, Arizona)
The 6-foot-4 swingman has been on a tear of late. Across his last seven games, he’s been averaging 19.4 points while slashing .488/.452/.884, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.6 steals a night. He’s emerged as a great three-level scorer with an elite 14.3 box plus-minus in that same stretch and a 64 percent true shooting percentage.
Arizona's Brayden Burries is having his best stretch of the season: over his last 7 games, Burries logs a 14.3 BPM and is shooting very well from everywhere on the court with a 64% true shooting percentage over that timespanoff-ball guards with sub-optimal size and athletic… pic.twitter.com/EBpyLT76gN
— Sheed on the Hawks (@SheedinATL) February 17, 2026Burries has accordingly been climbing mock drafts recently, and now is anticipated to be a late lottery pick.
In an NBA already stocked up on point guards, an actual shooting guard who’s comfortable scoring off the ball could be just what the doctor ordered for the clubs expected to draft in this range.
Malachi Moreno (C, Kentucky)
The 7-foot true freshman has shown plenty of promise this year.
He’s averaging 8.4 points on 58.8 percent field goal shooting and 69.1 percent free throw shooting, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.7 blocks a night. Moreno is moving up draft boards and is currently projected to go in the mid-20s.

Henri Veesaar (C, North Carolina)
Once seen as a mid-first-round prospect, the 7-foot transfer has been showing out for the 20-6 Tar Heels this year.
Across 24 healthy games for North Carolina, the redshirt senior has been averaging 16.4 points on a .615/.448/.621 slash line, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 0.6 steals. Not too shabby, but apparently Veesaar’s ceiling isn’t quite as well-regarded as those of Jayden Quaintance, Chris Cenac Jr., Moreno, Aday Mara, or Flory Bidunga.
Dash Daniels (SG, Melbourne)
Daniels was formerly projected as a late first-round pick. Now, he’s slid into the middle of the second-round, at least in Tankathon’s latest mock.
During his first season with the NBL’s Melbourne United, the 6-foot-5 Aussie-born swingman has been fairly pedestrian, averaging 4.3 points on .419/.375/.379 shooting splits and 2.3 rebounds across 14.2 minutes per.
JT Toppin (PF, Texas Tech)
When taking stock of a draft that’s heavy with big men in the first round, it makes sense that some prospects would fall out of that top tier.
The 6-foot-9 Toppin, a consensus All-American last year, has been averaging 21.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.4 steals a night for Texas Tech, but the former Big 12 Player of the Year just suffered a right leg injury, and there are apparently concerns that his output for the Red Raiders over the past two seasons may not translate at the pro level.
