Crean Lutheran’s boys basketball team cruised to an 83-58 win over Village Christian on Tuesday in the CIF-SS Division 1 quarterfinals at Crean Lutheran High.
The Saints will play Rancho Christian on the road in the semifinals Friday.
Hunter Caplan led Crean Lutheran (24-7) with 21 points. Chadrack Mpoyi had 20 points for the Saints and made 10 of 11 field-goal attempts.
Jacob Majok had 13 points and made all four of his 3-point attempts. Nicholas Giarrusso had 23 points and Caden Jones led the defense with three steals.
Crean Lutheran most recently appeared in a CIF championship game in 2021 when it beat Agoura for the Division 2-A championship.

In Division 1:
JSerra 66, Rolling Hills Prep 49: JSerra went on a 15-0 run to start the fourth quarter in a win over Rolling Hills Prep at North Torrance High.
Jaden Bailes scored 11 of his team-high 19 points in the fourth quarter for JSerra. Earl Bryson had 18 points and Godschoice Eboigbodin had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
JSerra will host Inglewood in the semifinals Friday.
The Lions were eliminated by Rolling Hills Prep the last time the two teams met in the playoffs in 2024.
In Division 2:
Roosevelt 74, Edison 65: Edison had its season come to an end against Roosevelt of Eastvale.
Derick Johnson paced Edison (21-10 with 40 points.
The Chargers were the third-place team in the Sunset League this season and beat Esperanza and Valencia in the first two rounds of the playoffs.
In Division 3:
Aliso Niguel 78, Alta Loma 58: Aliso Niguel dominated Alta Loma at home to win its 12th consecutive game.
The Wolverines had five players score in double-figures. Jayden Mysin and Wyatt Richmond each had 16 points for Aliso Niguel. Maverick Smith scored 15 points while Jay Keys and Miles Iribarne added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Aliso Niguel (23-8) will host Gahr in the semifinals Friday. This is the first semifinal appearance for Aliso Niguel since 2005 when it won the Division 1A championship.
Gahr 65, Woodbridge 55: Jaiden Sabino scored 32 points but Woodbridge fell to Gahr at home in the quarterfinals.
Sabino made six 3-pointers for Woodbridge. Garrett DiCostano had 10 points and Jahon Adloo added nine. Woodbridge (21-10) won the Pacific Coast League championship this season and beat La Cañada and Eastside in the first two rounds.
In Division 5:
San Juan Hills 70, Verbum Dei 63: San Juan Hills beat Verbum Dei to reach the semifinals for the first time since 2022 when it won its lone CIF championship.
Garrett Brehmer led San Juan Hills (17-13) with 18 points and Rocco Jensen added 17. San Juan Hills will play Pilibos on the road in the semifinals Friday.
In Division 6:
Valencia 57, St. Bonaventure 39: Valencia led by as many as 22 points in the second half in a rout of St. Bonaventure at home.
Izan Hsu led Valencia (17-14) with 20 points and made three 3-pointers. David Jung had 11 points and Ronald Correa added 10.
Valencia will play Ramona of Riverside on the road in the semifinals Friday.
