Young the Giant is hitting the road for their first headlining shows in three years to support their upcoming studio album, “Victory Garden.”
The tour, featuring support from Cold War Kids, Almost Monday and KennyHoopla on select dates, will stop at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre in San Diego on July 15 and the Kia Forum in Inglewood on July 17. Cold War Kids will be on the road celebrating the 20th Anniversary of their debut record “Robbers & Cowards.”
Tickets will be available through a Chorus Artist Presale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18 and through Seated at noon. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale, which begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at YoungTheGiant.com.
The band’s sixth full-length album and Fearless Records debut, “Victory Garden,” marks Young the Giant’s first full-length release since their 2022 album, “American Bollywood.” The new album was mostly written during writing retreats in Idyllwild and Joshua Tree and produced by Brendan O’Brien (Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden) at Henson Studios in Hollywood, according to a press release.
“We are honored to bring our new album’ Victory Garden’ to life on the road. This tour feels like a gathering,” said singer Sameer Gadhia in a statement to Variety. “It’s about connection, resilience and finding moments of beauty and optimism in the middle of everything else.” Added member Eric Cannata, “This is our first headline tour in three years, and it feels especially meaningful. We’ve missed this kind of connection, and we’re excited to finally come back together with you all.”
In keeping with the album’s theme, the band will continue to work with Reverb, an environmental organization that promotes more sustainable touring, supports food insecurity initiatives, and funds community-based carbon-reduction projects.
“Victory Garden” will be released on May 1.
