More that 140 flights into and out of San Diego International Airport were delayed Monday as high winds and heavy rain moved through the county, according to online flight-tracking data.

FlightAware and the airport’s website showed at least 141 flight delays, while the National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for parts of San Diego County and a marine warning for winds of 45 to 50 knots off the coast.

Emergency responders reported an uptick in calls as the storm impacted roadways. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and California Highway Patrol responded to several vehicle spinouts and collisions on rain-soaked freeways.

Heavier rain passing through the SD coasts/valleys now through the next hour, with areas 0.33" to 0.50"/hr rain rates, including downtown. Water running over and ponding on the roads, especially in low-lying areas, is very likely. If you must travel, take it very slow and easy! t.co/rL5jrryi0W
