Radcliffe—who was only 11 years old when he was cast as Harry Potter—told the outlet that seeing the young cast members gives him a new perspective on his own experience: “When you’re 11, and you’re doing something, you’re like, ‘Of course I’m old enough to do this—I’m the oldest I’ve ever been.’ But now when I meet 11-year-olds, I am like, ‘Whoa, that seems nuts.’ It puts it into perspective.”

The actor then went on to acknowledge the pivotal role his parents played in his career early on and told the outlet, “Honestly, it makes me admire—and I do tell them this—my parents more than I was capable of doing at the time.” He then went on to add, “Just going like, ‘Wow, you got me through something crazy, and you did it with a huge amount of humor,’ yeah, it’s a big task.”
Nearly 25 years after the release of the first Harry Potter movie of the franchise, the popular story has cast Dominic McLaughlin, Alastair Stout, and Arabella Stanton as the title character, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger, respectively.
The HBO series is set to premiere in early 2027.
