The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum marked a special milestone for her granddaughter, Anna's 13-year-old daughter Kaitlyn, as she recently attended her last dance of middle school.

Sharing photos of Kaitlyn—affectionately nicknamed "Katy P"—to Instagram over the weekend, Shannon opened up about how "emotional" it's been to continue to raise Anna's two daughters after her death in December 2023.
Anna, who was 29 at the time of her death, was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January 2023 and died less than one year later.
"We would always talk about her being here for dance graduations and other things in the girls life but unfortunately god had another plans for her," Shannon wrote in her Sunday, Feb. 15 post, while going on to share that Katy P is "so much like her mother."

"Life may not be perfect but we r doing everything we can to make sure Katy P has what she needs n even though we have our ups and downs we will continue to make sure she has to best life possible," she added in the post.
Shannon also shared a photo montage to TikTok, showing Katy P all dressed up before heading to the dance, while writing, "These are the moments that make me miss @annamariecardwe39 just a little more."
In another Instagram post shared over the weekend, Shannon took a moment to thank her fans for following along with the famous family and grieving with them after Anna's death.
"I wanna say that we have some amazing fans," Shannon wrote. "These are the moments that we so wish that Anna Marie Cardwell was still here with us."
