The authority’s proposal is to amend the fine for individuals operating a private vehicle without a license to SR2,600 for violations related to public transportation and airport fares. The amendments aimed to activate the deterrent penalties stipulated in the regulations, which fall under the jurisdiction of the Committee for Reviewing Grievances and Violations of the Land Transport Law. These penalties include deportation for non-Saudi drivers who violate the provisions of the law and the executive regulations governing taxi and passenger transport brokerage activities, and publicizing the penalty in the local media at the expense of the offender in case of the repetition of the violation for the first time.
