Fresh off yet another stunning performance, O’Shea, who Olympic gold medalist and commentator Tara Lipinski called a “ray of sunshine,” turned to the cameras to once again address those watching at home.
“Everybody at home, thanks for watching us. We love all the support — everybody reaching out means so much to us,” O’Shea was heard saying.
He has been one of the only skaters to directly address cameras while skating off the ice at the Games, also sending a message after his team free skate that lifted the U.S. to gold earlier in the competition.

Despite few errors, their short program performance landed them a score of 71.87, seventh place heading into the final free skate Monday. And while they’re not necessarily medal contenders, the figure skating competition so far has already proven that “nothing is certain in sports.”
