Indiana State Police are helping direct traffic and clean-up efforts after an Amazon truck crashed Sunday, spilling natural gas onto the road.
The truck, which is powered by compressed natural gas according to state police, crashed on northbound Interstate 65 near Crown Point Sunday morning, police said.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the crash, but crews remained on the scene for cleanup efforts Sunday, causing traffic backups in the area.
Extended travel impacts are expected, but officials say the roadway has remained open.
The ramp from U.S. 231 onto the northbound side of Interstate 65 was closed however.
