The search for Nancy Guthrie has officially entered its third week. Nancy, 84, is the mother of Today anchor Savannah Guthrie and her siblings, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie. Nancy was reported missing on Sunday, Feb. 1 after she didn't show up at a friends house where she was expected to watch a livestream of a church service. Authorities believe that Nancy may have been abducted from her house in the middle of the night, hours after she had dinner with her daughter, Annie, and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni.
On Friday, Feb. 13, a federal warrant was executed at a home about two miles from Nancy's house in the Catalina Foothills of Arizona. Despite authorities detaining three people that evening, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has confirmed that the detainees have been released. Moreover, he said that the "person of interest" that was sought in that raid has also been released. Currently, there is no one in custody in connection with the Guthrie case, per Fox News.
Sheriff Nanos also made some unsettling comments regarding the investigation in an interview with The New York Times. While speaking about eventually finding Nancy and apprehending a suspect, Nanos said, "Maybe it’s an hour from now. Maybe it’s weeks or months or years from now. But we won’t quit. We’re going to find Nancy. We’re going to find this guy."
