Star Arizona freshman Koa Peat was ruled out for the second half of the Wildcats’ game against Texas Tech on Saturday due to a lower leg injury, according to Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star.
Peat played 11 minutes in the first half and had two points, one rebound and one assist. He did not attempt a field goal and went 2 of 4 at the foul line. He exited with seven seconds left in the first half.

With Peat ruled out and Dwayne Aristode out with the flu, the Wildcats were left with six rotation players for the second half. Tobe Awaka started the second half in place of Peat.
This season, Peat is the Wildcats’ second-leading scorer and is averaging 14.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.7 blocks. He has started all 24 of No. 1 Arizona’s games up to this point.
