A police pursuit ended Friday morning, Feb. 13, when a suspect’s vehicle crashed into a passenger Metro bus in the Westlake District of Los Angeles, seriously injuring two people and leaving others with less-serious injuries, including a Los Angeles police officer.
The crash occurred near Bixel and Sixth streets.
A Metro Line 720 bus was traveling eastbound on Sixth at Bixel when it was struck by the vehicle, said Jose Ubaldo, a Metro spokesman.
Firefighters took to the hospital two seriously injured patients — reportedly unrestrained occupants of one of the vehicles. Two bus passengers were also taken to a hospital with less-serious injuries, and an LAPD officer sustained minor injuries, authorities said.
The bus operator was taken to a hospital with minor injuries as well.
All of the suspects were taken into custody, police said.
