ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder after being accused of shooting a man on Orchard Street in May.

Terrance Wright, from Rochester, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Rochester Police say on May 8, Wright shot 36-year-old Richard Gollwitzer in the head.
After months of investigation, police say evidence was found that indicates the murder was most likely drug related.
At the time of the shooting, police say Wright was out of custody pending criminal possession of stolen property charges, and was sentenced 1-3 years in prison for those charges. He has been at Otisville Correctional Facility since October, and was returned to Rochester Friday afternoon.
