Greeley-based poultry producer Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. (Nasdaq: PPC) improved its year-over-year sales in both the fourth quarter of 2025 and the full fiscal year, but fell slightly short of Wall Street expectations.
The company posted full-year 2025 sales of just under $18.5 billion — up 3.5% from 2025 — and fourth-quarter sales nearly $4.52 billion — a 3.5% year-over-year improvement that missed Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.6 billion.
Operating income in the most recent period was $204.1 million, down 33% from the fourth quarter of 2024. In fiscal 2025, operating income totalled $1.61 billion, 7.1% higher than the previous year.
“During 2025, market conditions remained attractive as input costs were relatively stable and the affordability of chicken continued to resonate among consumers,” Pilgrim’s Pride CEO Fabio Sandri said in a prepared statement. “Given our effective strategies, competitive advantages, and consistent execution, we delivered another year of strong results”
Just before noon Thursday, Pilgrim’s stock was trading at $40.80, down 2.39% on the day.
