ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Announced on Thursday, a man from Webster, who’s been convicted of two counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft, has been sentenced to 111 months in prison.
Timothy Siverd, a 38-year-old of Webster, was employed as vice president at Tompkins Community Bank when he convinced two victims to invest in fraudulent real estate transactions back in November 2021.
The names of the victims aren’t listed. Victim #1 was said to have paid Siverd about $158,429. Victim #1 then demanded repayment and got back $108,429 in funds. However, the repaid funds came from Victim #2’s money from a separate fraudulent transaction.
The report says that Victim #2 paid Siverd $346,511.55, and he never returned the funds to Victim #2.
Siverd was on supervised release, awaiting sentencing following these incidents.
ROC Scrubby LLC
Afterwards, between November 2022 and September 2024, he ran a commercial cleaning services company called ROC Scrubby LLC and overbilled clients for cleaning services that weren’t performed.
He would change the client booking information to increase billing, and the employees wouldn’t perform the expensive services. Additionally, using client credit card numbers to overbill them.
