One phenomenon that has occurred since the inception of Dancing with the Stars is that some of the professional dancers who are regulars on the series have become as popular as their celebrity partners. Think Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Maks Chmerkovskiy, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Sharna Burgess, and the list goes on.
To cash in on the growing interest in the dancers, Dancing with the Stars is growing the franchise with a new spinoff, Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, it was reported by Variety.
The spinoff series will feature up-and-coming professional dancers who will live in a house together and compete in a grueling audition process. The winner will land a coveted spot as a pro dancer on the next season of Dancing With the Stars.

Who will judge Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro?

Mark Ballas, who has won Dancing With the Stars three times, is someone who is being considered as is his mother, Shirley Ballas, who is known as “The Queen of Latin.” In fact, Shirley, who has served as the head judge on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing since 2017, would lend the judging panel the same acumen that Len Goodman provided to Dancing with the Stars.
In addition to both Mark and Shirley, a third judge, possibly a rotating judge, would be added to round out the panel.
It’s too soon for a trailer as nothing has been filmed as yet.
