Every summer for the past two decades, blues musicians — and fans alike — from across the state, region and country flock to Island Grove for the annual Greeley Blues Jam.
On Saturday, see what acts will be featured on June 5 and 6 this year, and be treated to a teaser of sorts, as Ronnie Baker Brooks will perform at the announcement party — set to kickoff at 8 p.m. at the Moxi Theater, 802 9th St. in Greeley.
“The Greeley Blues Jam Music Festival is about more than music — it’s about bringing people together,” organizer Chris Haug said in a news release. “We’re proud to create an event that supports live music, showcases incredible talent and highlights the spirit of Greeley. The 2026 festival is shaping up to be one of our best yet.”
The first day (June 5) of the two-day event serves as Greeley’s Friday Fest Kickoff, and admission is free. Early bird tickets for June 6 at Island Grove Regional Park, 501 N. 14th Ave., are available for $50 at GreeleyBluesJam.org. Prices will increase to $60 after the announcement party and $70 day of.
Brooks, a Chicago native, is the son of Blues Hall of Famer Lonnie Brooks. He performed with his father for 12 years before he began fronting his own band, sharing a stage with artists such as Eric Clapton, Taj Mahal and Buddy Guy, according to an event description.
The younger Brooks’ fifth studio album, “Blues in My DNA,” netted him three Blues Music Awards in 2025: Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year, Contemporary Blues Album of the Year and Song of the Year for the title track.
