Van Der Beek played a high school quarterback in Varsity Blues. Beck told Entertainment Tonight he said the actor could see his role in the Tubi movie as a later sequel for his character Mox. "You're grown up, you have a son now, and you're a little hard on him," Beck said. "He was like, 'Go to time out.' He's the best."
