In December, it was announced that former French Olympic Champion Laure Manaudou would compete on the 15th season of the French version of “Dancing with the Stars”, Danse avec les stars, similar to her brother Florent Manaudou, who was a finalist on the show last season. She has now completed her first dance with her professional partner, Christian Millette.
For their first dance on January 23, Manaudou, the first ever women’s gold medalist from France when she won the women’s 400 freestyle at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and Millette danced cha-cha-cha style with flamenco choreography to ‘Last Dance’– by Ariana DeBose, LaChanze, and Storm Lever; ultimately earning scores of 6,6,6, and 5 from judges Jean-Marc Généreux, Fauve Hautot, Mel Charlot, and Chris Marques for a total of 23. That total score would be the lowest among the six couples featured in the first episode, while online streamer Maghala and her partner, Adrien Caby, finished with the highest score of the night at 31 points.
The couple did not dance in week two, while the other six duos competed. After all 12 groups had danced, Manaudou and Millette sit tied for 10th with Stéphane Bern and Calisson Goasdoué with 23 points.

First prime. Season 15. So happy to be back.
Opening the very first show of the season with@lauremanaudouoffIt was a tremendous honor… and a real challenge.
Just 10 days ago, Laure had never danced. Going on stage, opening the show, managing the live broadcast, the pressure, the rapid learning curve… it was far from easy. And yet, she did it with courage, commitment, and determination.
Like in elite sports, becoming a champion always starts with a first step. This first live show was just that: the beginning. Now, the work continues: letting go, building confidence, freedom of movement… and above all, the joy of dancing.
Already looking forward to the next live show The adventure has only just begun.
