Fans are rushing to Bad Bunny's defense after a U.S. Congressman called for a formal investigation into his halftime performance at Super Bowl LX.
Bad Bunny's history-making performance at Sunday night's game has certainly drawn a significant amount of criticism—including a harsh review from Donald Trump—but one Tennessee lawmaker is taking his disapproval to the next level.
On Monday, Feb. 9, U.S. representative Andy Ogles requested a "formal congressional inquiry" into NBC and the NFL for their "prior knowledge, deliberate approval and facilitation" of what Ogles described as an "indecent broadcast" and "pure smut."

Ogles claimed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the performance included "explicit displays of gay sexual acts, women gyrating provocatively, and Bad Bunny shamelessly grabbing his crotch while dry-humping the air."
"And if that weren't outrageous enough," he continued, "the performance's lyrics openly glorified sodomy and countless other unspeakable depravities."
"These flagrant, indecent acts are illegal to be displayed on public airways," Ogles added.
"That's why I am requesting that the Energy and Commerce Committee launch a formal congressional inquiry," Ogles announced, while insisting, "American culture will not be mocked or corrupted without consequence."

"This is reading like 1960s-era thinking. Of all the things you could focus on, this should be at or near the bottom of your list," another user pointed out, while many others agreed Ogles' request is a "waste of time and government resources."
One user posed the questions, "Does Andy think this is a good use of tax payer money? This is a serious issue facing citizens?"
