East Asian culture was celebrated at UC Irvine during a Lunar New Year, Year of the Horse celebration.
UCI’s Department of East Asian Studies and Program in Global Languages and Cultures hosted a day of workshops and learning with games, performances and arts and crafts. There were also traditional costumes that students could put on and visit the photo booth.
The event has been going on for more than 35 years, allowing students to experience a little bit of what East Asian cultures have to offer. Lunar New Year is Feb. 17.
